About Me.
I am a clinical psychologist, with specialized training in family therapy, health psychology, trauma, LGBTQ care, and stress-reduction. I work in an integrated way -taking into account multiple factors in your life - the biological, social, psychological, and cultural/societal. Working in a collaborative manner, I hope to help you achieve your personal goals and offer a warm and supportive place to discuss current stressors, and find coping skills.
Education.
I have been working in the field of psychology since 2009. Since this time, I received my degree in Psychology and Spanish from Oberlin College, my Master’s Degree in Couples and Family Therapy (MFT) at the University of San Diego, and a Doctorate and second Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. I have been licensed and practicing for many years. In addition to holding a clinical practice, I am also an Adjuntive Clinical Faculty at the Wright Insititue, in Berkeley.
Experience and Training.
I have received specialized training in multiple settings, including integrated medical centers, hospitals, schools, and trauma centers.
Trained in: EMDR, Gottman Method, CBT, DBT, Mindful Self-Compassion
Therapeutic Approach:
I work in a warm, collaborative manner with clients. I believe that, with assistance, everyone has their own strength and knowledge to recover and work on life’s challenges. I offer a combination of practical solutions and therapeutic support from the principles of cognitive behavioral approaches, ACT, DBT, EMDR, and mindfulness skills and prosocial psychology, while motivating clients to find creative solutions to problems they are facing. I offer a non-judgmental and supportive space to work on what is bothering you, while providing tools as necessary to aid in the process.
About me: In my free time, I enjoy hiking, camping, (amateur) running, baking, and playing Taiko. I also have two cats: named Toothless and Gray Light Furry. (Named after the dragons from How to Train Your Dragon!)
